I mean, PS2 has sold over 2 Million units in the UK innit?

X-box would have to have sold 1 Million to have the market share they have said. Do they really think joe public is that stupid?

Somebody needs a slap.

Indeed.

After doing some research around various sites...

PS2 would have sold more than double the Cube figure if Sony could have met the demand at launch. But 500,000 came into Europe...same amount as the Cube.

X-box has to be the most pathetic launch out of the 3 considering there were no stock shortages at all. UK not so bad with 48,000 in the first 3 days but only 20,000 were sold in France and Germany combined in the first 3 days. And thats coming from projections made by the research company MCV (Market for Computer and Videogames)

Neither of which are launch titles.

Let me see...GTA3 come out Nearly a year after Launch.

MGS2 nearly a year and a half after launch.

After a year, the Gamecube will have titles such as Mario sunshine, Zelda, Wrestlemania X8, Resident Evil, Super Monkey Ball 2, Starfox Adventures, Starfox 3D shooter, Super Smash Brothers Melee etc etc....

PS2 didnt really have the killer apps at launch either did it? And GT3 was only really the first "must have" game. Well it got me to get the console anyway :)

As for the PS2 figure, that was the figure i picked up from my last source. Okay, sorry, it was a nintendo site...little biased perhaps, but where did you get your figures from?

Perhaps the charm is that they not only make their own games for their own consoles, but they also make some of the most influential games in history.
