They said we couldn't do it without Pires.

They said we couldn't do it without Adams.

They said we couldn't do it without Bergkamp.

They said we couldn't do it without Henry.

They said we couldn't do it in United's back yard.

They said we'd slip up.

They said we'd crack under the pressure.

They said we weren't good enough.

They said we were cocky.

They can kiss my big hairy backside.

God knows mayb they could hold onto it?

Both of Vieira's arms were up, either side of his head, long before the ball reached him. He didn't reach for the ball.

Either way, as I said before, are you that desperately short of goal-scoring chances that you need to rely on penalties?

Even if it was deliberate, getting away with that makes up for the blatant dive Nostrilboy tried when he came on.

What - hacked himself down?

> Oh, so because it was down to a defensive mistake it was a World Class

I don't recall saying it was a world-class finish - I just said it wasn't lucky. He was in the right place at the right time. That's what football is all about. There have been many, many games this season where balls like that have gone in and we haven't had anyone there to put them away. That doesn't mean this time was luck, it means we got it right for once!

Everything Fred does is supernatural. :-)

> Yes, but did you see how Ljungberg somehow got past Blanc?? LUCK!!

And did you see how many loose passes rebounded to your players instead of ours? If not, but the video and watch it again. Oh wait... United probably won't be releasing too many videos of this season, will they?

You cannot honestly believe that!!
Like Andy Gray said, that ball was heading goal-wards and may have gone in, or at least caused the defence some big problems - if that lank French wimp hadn't slapped the ball away!

I admit that we played dirty throughout a large portion of the match. Hmmmmmm...... like Arsenal you could say!
But can you honestly say you did not do the same!!?

Oh, so because it was down to a defensive mistake it was a World Class finnish!! So what would you call Ljungberg's goal from the weekend - super-natural!!??

Yes, but did you see how Ljungberg somehow got past Blanc?? LUCK!!
I admit we played quite poor once again at the back, but it was lucky for you that Wiltord was in-place and un-marked when the re-bound fell to him.

Van Man is a model professinal.

Which is why he won the PFA players and fans award. Just using the good name to his advantage in the last few games.

Will you still think so if he gets a 3 or 6 game ban at the start of next season?

Which he SHOULD do, but knowing the FA, nothing will come of it.

He did, but didn't deem it worthy of a shout, as it was accidental.

A load of others? I assume you mean all the little hacks and kicks that United made on the Arsenal players. And are you that poor that you need to rely on penalties to score goals? That's what you're making it sound like.

> and due to inspiration, the game may have begun to liven up a lot more!

So beating your biggest rivals on your own ground to prevent them taking "your" title isn't inspiration enough?

> That Wiltord goals was lucky!

Balls was it lucky. Your defence cocked up - again - Freddie took advantage. Barthez couldn't hold it, a Wiltord put it away. In case you didn't notice, Barthez got back across the goal and was between Wiltord and the goal - Wiltord still had a lot to do (remember he ballooned one high and wide in the Cup Final from a similar position), and made the most of it.

Greasy and wet? Well, it wasn't raining during the game. Maybe your groundsmen shouldn't have watered the pitch? Anyway, I thought you liked quick pitches, as they help your flowing football.

> I'm not so sure that Seaman, Wright or even Taylor would've been able

Well, there you go then. Two defensive errors on your part contributed to the goal - one for giving the ball to Freddie, the other for losing Wiltord. That's not lucky on our part, that's bad play on your part.

> And if you want to call yourselves the Champions of England then

We played how we had to play. It was obvious you were going to start fast and pressure us, so all we had to do is weather the storm. Which we did. If anything, it was more bad tactics from Ferguson, because if Arsenal have proved anything this season, it's that they are deadly on the counter-attack. You'd probably have faired better if you had drawn us out.

Whether we were marginally better than you, or miles better is irrelevant. At the end of the day, we were better, and have been all season. You threw everything you could at us - even a trademark Nostrilboy swan-dive - and you couldn't break us down. THAT is what playing like Champions is all about.

This stage of the season isn't about flair, it's about results - and we got the results we needed, whether they be via fancy footwork and goals, or hard-fought battles.

Fact is, playing like CHampions means winning games even when you're under the kosh. Which we have done. We've played enough entertaining football this season to cover every other team in the Premier League, so you'll forgive us if we take it easy against the lesser teams.

> Nice challenge Roy Keane!!! ;D Kung-fu kick - Cantona style!! :D
> How many times was Edu down in the first half hour!??

Shows how dirty you were. Every time you didn't manage to hack him down, he skipped past you with the ball.

Keep it all coming... your bitter envy is most amusing.

Arsenal have been the better team all season.

Man Utd have made way too many mistakes in defence this season.

Against Arsenel we gave the ball away and they scored, the game ended 1-0. Same happened with West Ham and Middlesborough, and other matches we lost. That's 9 points thrown away, 6 of which we definitely should have taken to be worthy champions.

It's not as bad as losing the league to Leeds, when we hadn't won it for 25 years. That was a much worse season. Plus the year Blackburn won the title and we went on to lose in the final of the FA Cup, to Everton of all people.

Van Mans punch was still the best though.

Seeing as Keane missed with that high kick it was a shame he got booked. he should have at least got him in the chest...some aknowledgement for that Yellow card at least.

Once again i'd like to point out that Vieira got away with another handled Corner Kick clearence!! If the ref had noticed that (and a load of others) then United may have got a goal or two, and due to inspiration, the game may have begun to liven up a lot more!

That Wiltord goals was lucky!
And when you critisise Barthez, i'd be very interested to see you try and hold a greasy and wet football that's been hit down low at an awkward angle to save!
I'm not so sure that Seaman, Wright or even Taylor would've been able to make such a good save, and the blame goes to Wiltord's marker for letting him go!

And if you want to call yourselves the Champions of England then surely if that's true then you should've played like them last night in such a massive game! Instead, you played only slightly better than us and were lucky to get only one goal!

I have to laugh at Kanu though!! LOL
Edu, Vieira, and Wiltord all try to act tough, but whenever they're down they stay down for at least half the match!! WIMPS!
Nice challenge Roy Keane!!! ;D Kung-fu kick - Cantona style!! :D
How many times was Edu down in the first half hour!??
