Ok, for the past 4 months my band has been in the studio recording 14 tracks for our album.
Now we're a loong way off from being finished (string quarter yet to be booked etc for 2 tracks) but I will, by the end of the week, have a very rough mix copy of 10 of the tracks.

What I need is an unbiased (ie not in the band) ear to listen and suggest things like loops to be put under the main music, little effects etc, sounds.

Just some little things that would make all the difference (think of the tiny sounds buried in OK Computer).
We're already using a Theremin, dobro and some other bits and bobs but I'm after constructive ideas.

I'll mention you in the credits or something, stick you on the guestlist at the next gig, some stuff like that.
Let me know if you think you can do that (and some music experience might be beneficial but not essential)

I'd like to help, but even if I can't be of that much help, I know someone who almost certainly can be. My clarinet teacher is a bit of an arrangement genius and I'm sure he'd be happy to put forward some suggestions if that's any help to you.

Me Me

That's all I bloody do... listen to music and then argue with mates.

I know Ok Computer off by heart and I have some musical knowledge.

Heard a few tracks by your band so I'll say stuff because I rule.

Yeah Woohoo Yeah

That was a yes I'll gladly help.

When I plug my wah pedal the wrong way round it makes the most god aweful, ear bleeding racket that you have ever heard. I could sample that for you.

Also, get your hands on a copy of 'Carpal tunnel syndrome' by 'Kid Koala'. That might inspire you.

I have virgin ears.

No ones shagged one of mine yet...

(Sorry, but someone had to say it :-D)

I'll give your music a listen if you want.

How about an R2D2 solo?

Many songs are improved by the sound of screaming, or power-tools low in the mix.

No song has ever been improved by the sound of children singing though, avoid this.
