"Sinister People"

Sinister, as you may know, is Latin for "left".

The word's subsequent translation, is likely the cause of much of the contempt with which left-handed or "sinister" people are treated these days.

But leftys don't really care, and have little to worry about, given their contributions to mankind.

I can tell you all the good things, such as american astronaught teams contain a number of left-handers that is about 5 times their national average. Left handers being generally far more creative and inspiring than the average righty.

But rather than the good things to convince you to be nice to leftys, i'll give you this:

Jack the Ripper, and the Boston Strangler were both left-handed. As were several other serial killers through history, the likes of Napoleon Bonaparte and Ivan The Terrible were also left-handed, along with a number of other feared historical rulers.

Respect the lefty, and be afraid.

How many leftys we got here?

BTW: Everybody knows the X-men don't exist, and vampires don't exist, but Santa Claus DOES. I got a big list of what does and doesn't exist. X-men are on the latter and Santa is on the former, therefore he exists. He wouldn't be there if he didn't.

Thanks. I think. My post was meant to be a joke, hope you spotted that, (sarcasm never comes out well on forums - which is a pity, cos I use it a lot) nevermind.

I'm sure I'd read all that stuff before, but anyway, I hereby declare that I forever surrender myself to IB on all things related to Leftys as he is obviously far wiser than I.

I'm also left handed. Clearly we're the superior race.

I'm a minority now, oh yes. I shall wear a 'left handed and proud' T-shirt on it, and complain about how society treat us left handers like second rate citizens.

I will be sure to ask any future employers if they have fulfilled their criteria of left handed employees. I will complain to my town council about the right-handed parking meters and phone boxes.

I will ask for extra time in my exams to compensate for the fact I am using exam papers and writing equipment designed primarily for right handers.

I want my rights, you arrogant over-proud righties!

I'd also like to comlpain about the dual meaning of the word 'right' in the English language. The fact that 'left' and 'wrong' are both opposites of the word 'right' I find highly offensive.
