My GC came with a composite lead and a Euro-SCART adapter. I think the adapter cannels the composite's stereo into mono. Would I get better sound and picture by ditching the adapter? Or is there another cable I can get that's even better?

you don't get 60Hz through the composite lead (redwhiteyellow) you only get it through the official SCART lead which I will be getting (ta MicroChips) but at the moment I'm using the composite chanelled through a Euro Adapter. Will I get a better picture and sound by using just the composite?

auf deutsch, have you got the colours from the lead plugged in correctly to your T.V. If yes then I don't know, if you have a scart socket use the adaptor that comes with GC.

P.S In the manual it says that you shouldn't use the N64 RF adapotor thing(the switch box), don't know why but just warning you!

I just use the 3 Coloured leads that plug into the scart. Fantastic sound/picture in 60hz mode.

I'm having a problem with the picture with my GC. Whenever I switch to the correct channel, lines scroll diagonally across the screen for some reason. I couldn't get the picture to appear with the lead that came with the GC (the three coloured one, can't remember the name) so I nicked the switch off my N64 that has the game spiel/TV output switch on it...

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do?

I am getting the official GC scart cable. There are more male pins in the official one, which gives you better sound a picture quality.
