My GC came with a composite lead and a Euro-SCART adapter. I think the adapter cannels the composite's stereo into mono. Would I get better sound and picture by ditching the adapter? Or is there another cable I can get that's even better?

Correct, the 3 wires is a composite connection (the one you get with the cube) but with an adaptor to make it SCART compatible. The official SCART should be one wire only, and should better the picture quality.

So the £20 RGB Scart plugs into the Scart Socket at the back of the Tv, right?? It's not one that needs the 3 coloured wire holes is it?

Best picture is from a computer monitor...

Concerning TVs, the best is RGB SCART (different from Euro Scart), and the next best are Euro Scart, S-Video, or the 3 composite wires.

AV is the worst

I tried monkey ball and rogue leader in 60Hz today, even with the cable out of the box the picture is very impressive.

I don't think its in the manual, read it on the internet somewhere. If you hold down 'b' while turning on the cube and if the game supports 60Hz, it asks you if you want to run in 60Hz, then every time you switch on the cube with a game that supports 60Hz.

I've also heard that holding down B takes certain games into Digital as well.

Games I have that support 60 Hz are, Rogue Leader and Super Monkey Ball, I also have Wave Race and Luigi's Mansion that appear not to have 60Hz option.

I have read on this thread that Wave Race has 60Hz, if it does how do you enable it as I cannot find it on the options and it does not ask you if you hold down 'b' while switching on cube.

It can go digital. I'm not sure if all GC games can but I know that Blue Storm has the ability.
