"Bleh ..Error"

Hi, Need some help

Tried installing some software this morning, and I got an error message saying "Error starting program" "The MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to missing export MSI.DLL:222." :/

Haven't a clue what it means, but it has happened on the software i tried installing this morning, and then got the same message a minute ago when trying to install Nero. Is it a common fault? Can it be fixed easily?

Running Windows ME by the way.

Windows ME hates some programs! They won't work on ME when the do on 2000, or 98!

Downloaded a load of updates off the Microsoft site, and now it's working.

MSI, Microsoft Installer.

It's the pretty one you get with Word etc, not the InstallShield. Try getting a new copy of it from the MS website.
