Hi Freeola, is there a blockage on the email servers? there appears to be some delay in receiving emails does Freeola still block mail from Yahoo groups? and if yes any chance you could stop blocking them?

Hi Digi,
My email situation seems to have improved - but I am seeing some emails (usually one's with attachments) taking a while longer to arrive - but not as bad as earlier during the week.

I've literally just had an email from a 'form to mail' script arrive within 5 mins which is normal/good!

Have you seen the 'spam' thread I posted earlier in the week?
It's possible things are still recovering from that episode?

NB. Are you near 'Crailing Village'? Have you seen that the village website has won a GAD that hasn't been claimed???
See my Webmaster GAD winners thread!

Hi Hmmmm

Yeah I know it still has to get to some where before it gets here but usually even after all the trips around Scotland it still gets here within seconds perhaps its the snow thats slowing things? or the super high winds? either way there appears to be a blockage even though ncrs says the system is sorted perhaps his internal email is working fine but out here its broken :)

FWIW
I believe I've also got some mail 'on route' - the same person sent me two emails around 2pm today. The second one (no attachments) has arrived but the first one (with some small Word attachments) I'm guessing is still in the system.

NB. Digi - when you say from one side of the office to the other - I take it you realise it's ratterling round the internet (Scotland > Telehouse London > Scotland) before it turns up? ;¬)

Hi ncrs
Test messages from my wife to me both on freeola are taking between 20 and 30 mins to arrive from one side of the office to the other, some messages sent this afternoon have not yet arrived.

We experienced some problems with the MX servers at the beginning of the week which resulted in delayed delivery of some messages, this was resolved and email was flowing properly by Tuesday evening. Chances are that you are just now receiving some of the delayed mail queued by the sending servers.

Any mail sent at the moment should come through normally without any delay. If you are still experiencing any problems, please place a support ticket request or give us a ring, but all our test emails are coming through promptly.
