Hi Freeola, is there a blockage on the email servers? there appears to be some delay in receiving emails does Freeola still block mail from Yahoo groups? and if yes any chance you could stop blocking them?

Received. .com domains should be showing the right info. The reason for the delay with .uk domains is that registration and renewal responses are sent back to us from Nominet using email, so they will be in the queue somewhere!

Could you send me a list of the domains that are effected (link under my avatar) and I will look into it. The sending of the confirmation emails shouldn't effect how long it takes for the domains to be updated in your MyFreeola account but this can take about 24 hours.

Hi Eccles, FWIW...

I renewed 9 domains and registered another this morning.

The confirmation email for the renewals and the invoice email both arrived, but the domains don't show as renewed in MyFreeola? - A WHOIS shows they have been renewed, it's just MyFreeola that's behind.
It's not a problem but this normally updates pretty quickly, so thought I would mention it.

Also for the new co.uk I registered I've received the order confirmation but not the 'ready for use' email and the domain hasn't showed up in MyFreeola - again this normally only takes an hour or so. This is a bit more of a pain as domains through Freeola are normally very quickly available after registration.

Any thoughts...?

The term Spam (of the email sense), otherwise known as Unsolicited Bulk Email, is thought to have come from the Spam sketch by Monty Python. The term was coined for email in the 80s when users of Bulletin boards used to type SPAM SPAM SPAM ... to get other users messages to scroll off the screen.
The nature in which many spammers operate makes the difficult to track down. Often they will use viruses to infect other machines on the internet and then use these machines to send out the spam. If they do that then how can you pinpoint the single source of the spam?
