And of course by Stories, I mean factual accounts of when and where you bought your GameCube, you may include any nice details you feel you'd like to add.

I've just got mine home. I got a black one, and although i'd played it before - it's a lot different to what I thought.

For a start, it's quite a good quality piee of kit. I thought the lid would open like a PSOne one, all cheap and tacky, but in actual fact, it's quite smooth and sterdy. The power button is also quite good - I know that's a bit of a sad thing to say, but it's true... it feels expensive.

The pad is minute... and the D-Pad button is miniscule. Added to which, you can hardly tell the difference between the lead and the end bit that you plug into the Cube... that's even smaller than the rest of it!

The pad is great, but it's no WaveBird.

The Scart adaptor is massive, almost as big as the Cube. The Power Unit is also quite big... for a power unit, that is.

Memory cards are TINY!!! I almost lost it... luckily I had some tweezers and a microscope on hand!

(What were you doing with Tweezers and a Microscope... in fact, don't answer that! You freak!)

*cough*

Anyway, all in all, I'm quite impressed. I don't actually have any games yet, so i've been messing about with the Settings for about 15 minutes... I love the sounds! I had to fend off a few people from the nightclub, and my Mum actually had to come out and pay because I don't get paid until 2:00am!

It was fun, and I feel sorry for anyone who couldn't experience it first hand - it was quite a sight.

Anyway - I want to hear your thoughts... beause contrary to popular thinking, I'm not a psychic!

Today at 12:30 PM I brought my pre-ordered Star Wars Bonus pack from Special Reserve. The shop was quiet being a Friday and Rogue Leader is REALLY HARD. Also this is the first time I've had a console on launch day, which I didn't expect they would have one today.

Thats my intense story of my battle for a GameCube.

Well i got home this morning at 2 am, went to sleep. Got up at 7:30 and went to college. Left college early and went home with a few friends. Two games had arrived but no console. We played the 64 for a bit and then sure as hell 'ding dong'. I ran to the door and there was a big brown box.

*WOW*

I opened it up and got a memory card, soundstation 3, cube and two controllers. I had sonic adventure and mistakingly lugis mansion. I set it up and put on sonic.

*WOW*

The soundstation rules, I mean it- it really enhances the play. We played sonic for a bit and they went home. I thought I would come here and sort a few issues out (I recieved lugis mansion insetad of Burnout and a few things were missing). Now... let's go play some cube!!

IB: Cubed too!

Alright, Phoenix!

There aren't too many options. You can change the Screen Position, Time, Date, Sound Settings, Sort out your memory Card files, Change the Language, There's a Gameplay menu that runs the Disc in your Cube if you put it in after you set up.

It's not too complex, but it looks cool and does the job.

So far so good.

GameCube rules... in all honesty, if you don't have one, get one! The games, which already rule, will only get better!

I repeat: BUY A GAMECUBE!
