Should I get one?
Reasons why I wouldn't mind:
Rogue Leader 2
er...that's about it really, no other games interest me.
Reasons not to get one?
I don't like Nintendo at all, thought the N64 was a con and Lylat Wars will haunt me to my grave.
Most of the games are big colour games for those that like that sort of thing. (and spazzies)
No games I want apart from Star Wars.
Go on you Nintys, persuade me to get one.
"A decent footie one. I hate football but like footie games."
Same here. ISS is supposed to be pretty good, especially with mates. Always is.
"Star Wars games - Jedi Knight 2, can't be topped."
Can. Tie Fighter was better, and yes, coming in post soon... :0)
"My hesitancy is this:"
"Got an N64 with Super Mario 64, Waveracer, Shadows of The Empire. Got bored after a week and got angry after a month."
Never bought Mario, Waverace, or Shadows. Rented them. Hated Waverace, hate the update. Hated Shadows, and Mario was cool, but no real desire to play it again.
"Then I see the Gamecube being launched with Luigi Mansion, Waveracer, Rogue Sqaudron."
Luigi's Mansion isn't worth spending the money on, but will be great for me during exams, being a gad and all. Waverace sucks, and Rogue Squadron rules. Shadows really, really sucked behind, and I'm not saying that to convince you, I'm saying that because it's true. Rogue Leader is supposed to be a fantastic action game, and I'm really looking forward to it. Won't be as good as Jedi Knight 2, but will still be good fun.
"I'm still sulking over being ripped off for the N64 and I'm loathe to give Nintendo any more of my money. I may change my mind when there are some decent games, but Mario/Wario/Whateverio and another Jet Ski game open old wounds."
Don't blame you really. All I want to do is make you play Skies of Arcadia, and it'll be stupid to buy a PS2 back now, with an X-Box instead.
Die Hard.
(if the first is still being made...)
It rules.
F-Zero?
StarFox?
Turok4 (made for the GameCube, ported to others).
After Dark?
Just to name a few exclusives that you might like... and obviously games which are released on all three of the main consoles...
No interest?
Residant Evil (only for GC)
Die Hard
Perfect Dark
Super Monkeh Ball!
Sonic adventure 2.
> Go on you Nintys, persuade me to get one.
Several words:
Super Monkey ball!!!!!!!!!!!
Who wouldn't want a game where you get to control a monkey in a ball? It's sooooo cute! And anyway, it's cheaper than any other next-gens, and if you choose it over the others, your not exactly gonna be let down, are you?
There's also Die Hard: Vendetta on its way......
A decent footie one. I hate football but like footie games.
Buy your playstation back then (or a cheap PS1)
ISS Pro Evo 2 (PS1) / Proevolution Football (PS2) cannot be beaten. I thought they sucked backside, were too slow and too hard when I first played them.
ISS Pro 2 is now the reason I still have a PS1 (+MGS)
Jedi Knight is great for lightsaber action and cool force powers, whilst Rogue Leader has the great space battles, Millenium Falcon, Death Star etc.
Though both have great music, sound effects etc, that faithfully convey the Star Wars universe.
I loved Jedi Knight 2 and will love RL, they both rule!
There are also two further Star Wars games in the pipeline, Bounty Hunter, a 3rd person game in which you play as Jango Fett, and Clone Wars, avehicular combat game.
Keep half an eye on E3 at the end of May, download some Gamecube footage, see what you think.
> Star Wars games - Jedi Knight 2, can't be topped.
Yes it can. Jedi Knight 3 will be the only game to top it.
