Unreal 2 engine, on PS2? No chance, the PS2 is a damn fine machine but there is no way it could handle the new unreal Engine. Take it from me, it's stunning.

Now, MoH Frontline on PS2. I played the review version of this game on the weekend and i was quite simply blown away. I've never been a fan of First Person Shooters on consoles, but this game was quite amazing. In fact, it looks every bit as good as MoH: Allied Assault on PC - which is high praise indeed.

Oh, and by the way, in the version i played (which is for all intense and perposes the one that'll be released) there didn't seem to be any option to use a PS2 mouse or Keyboard. However, thats not to say it won't be added for the final release. Lets hope so, as the control method, and the fact that i don't really like using Dual Shock pads for First Person Shooters, was the only negative thing i could see about the whole game.

MoH: Frontline is gonna' kick butt big time.

I'd say it is fact. The unreal 2 engine looks like it could only be handled by the x-box if it were to every be converted to a console.

No idea. You'll probably find out on its release though.

What the PS2 needs is a brand new Unreal game designed specifically for the console, none of this conversion nonsense. Conversions often suffer from lazyness on the part of the developers, like the game No one live forever which is great on the PC but from what I've heard it is a crap conversion on the PS2. which is a shame because its a really good game.

But look at medal of honour on the PC, a great WW2 FPS with a great mix of shoot out and sneak em up levels. Yet rather than just convert the game to the PS2, the developers have started a new MOH game from scratch. Its designed around the PS2 hardware so the game wont suffer from any half ar$ed conversion.

This is exactly what I think the developers of unreal should do for a PS2 version of the game. If there is ever going to be an unreal game on the PS2 that is.

Playstation has never been the true home of FPSs, The vital piece of kit that it lacks is a mouse. If you want to play Unreal II then you should invest in a PC. :)
