What do you all reckon the biggest con is? Sony making us spend £30 on a new Memory Card (i dont even wanna think about how much they cost to make!) or Microsoft making us pay £30 for DVD controller to play DVDs (couldn't they have made it so you had an option to use the controller, like you can with the PS2)

What do you think?

Had this debate in the Nintendo forum.

PS2 card - Under £30 for 8 megaBYTES.

Gamecube card - £14.99 to 8 megaBITS - 512K - half a megabyte.

Biggest rip-off = Nintendo.

All the consoles have their hidden costs. The PS2 has things like the memory cards, multitaps and soon the hard drive and online accessories if you want them.

The X-Box has the DVD remote which I'm not too bothered about cause I have a multi region DVD player already.

The Gamecube has memory cards which are too small to fit many games on so thats how Nintendo soon make their money back.

It's a bit of rip having to pay 30 quid for a DVD controller, but if you're heavily into DVD movies and stuff I suppose it's worth it.
It's so refreshing not having to buy a memory card in order to save data.
And 30 quid for the PS2 memory card is way too expensive.
