Okay, so anyone can claim to know someone who works at Sony, but it's something worth keeping an eye on.

Okay, so anyone can claim to know someone who works at Sony, but it's something worth keeping an eye on.

I don't see why Sony would need to reduce the price of the PS2 because Nintendo and Microsoft are obveously worried about their sales as they have both reduced the price of their newest consoles. If the prices of consoles reduce, people will be able to afford all thrre of them and the whole idea of the battle of the consoles will go down the loo. Well that's only my oppinion, i'm sure you have others.

This is a competitive strategy move from Sony..I think that since ninty and MS have reduced their prices people have been thinking "why not trade the PS 2 for one?" or "Why not buy x-box since its new and powerful" if Sony do reduce the price it will be to make people think b4 they buy a console.

it dosent really bother me as i already own the best console out the ps2 of course :D

I think most of us here own a PS2, so this price drop doesn't really mean anything to us. WòókieeMøn§†€® you should post this in FOG or prime.

Hopefully, the prices of all the consoles will continue to drop even further, as in the end it's us the consumer that benefits from all this undercutting and price war stuff.

I'd be much happier if sony cut the price of games, now that would benifit us ps2 owners more. £40 is allot of money.

But if they drop the price of the console, I'd have thought it less likely that they would like to drop their share of the profit on the games. They have to make money somehow.
