I reckon this would have made a great GAD attempt, but I just can't be bothered to write a big thing, look up stuff etc. etc...

Well, there's been this big furore about gaming, and there was recently a flight sim announced with something to do with 7/11 and the war on terrorism...but I really don't see the big deal.

Yes, it was a terrible tragedy and thousands lost their lives...but sooner or later, games will be made about it.

This was a HUGE event, and has lots of possiblities for stuff like flight sims, shooters etc.

In World War 2, millions died, the whole WORLD was involved in such bloodshed and now, games based around the events are two to a penny (or some other cliched phrase about there being lots, I dunno, it's late).

If anyone could grab me the name of that aforementioned flying game, I would be greatly appreciative...

Do you guys think it would be morally wrong to develop games based on the WTC incident?

ya know what the amercians(yanks) are like, they'll make a meal out of any minor thing that happens involving them, mainly because very little involves them. Most gamea makers are american, so undoubtedly they'll cash in on this at some point in near future, and they'll make a reference to the so called "war on terror". It'll be called something like "september 11th: Turning Point on Terror". the reason there are son many WW2 games is because the yanks don't care about insulting anyone, and as they weren't really in it, they can make as many as they like. Plus, we say 11/9, day first then month.

That's the thing...why is it too soon?

People have to realise the fact that yes, it was a tragedy but people will be talking about it for years to come, and surely games and films will be made.

Yeah. Or, Memento style, you could wake up in Osama bin Laden's clutches, blindfolded in a torture chamber and the game could go backwards, ending with the WTC incident.
