thought i'd start a topic, i was reading savatt's x box mag :) and i saw a bit in there that said if you by the US dvd kit you can play US dvd's on the uk x box as the region is set on the kit.

this is great as i use my PS2 to play some of my imports so if i do get the x box i can still view my dvd's or i can get that cool pioneer player :) which ever LOL

i suppose i'll have to by an x box soon, halo, JSRF and Dead or alive 3 and now this damn temptation.

Yeah it was an excellent console. :-) I still don't see a PS2 beat em up with better graphics than Soul Caliber on DC.
Some real class games on the console but unfortunatly people just wouldn't give it a chance.

Yup, as long as we spread the word, the X-Box will have a great future.
:-)

Especially with casual gamers that only really know and stick to Sony's machines. I think thats one reason the Dreamcast failed. All these people sat back for PS2 soley on the reputation of the PS1. They didn't know anything about the Dreamcast and didn't care to look.

But the X-Box seems to gradually be gaining a lot of attention as the word spreads. ;-)

What ever you do DONT get a US remote. Get a UK remote and Region X. If you use a US remote on a UK Xbox it will set the region on the UK Xbox to region 1. Whatever region the Xbox remote is that you use first on your Xbox, it will make the Xbox stick to that region. So the only way to have a multi region DVD is to buy Region X.
