MGS2 is out on the PS2, so if you wanna play it, buy a damn PS2 if you haven't already got one. It's only £200 for god's sake. That way you can play MGS2 now, rather than wait for months, or forever for it to come out on XBox. MGS2 looks and sounds good enough already on the PS2 - what more could you want? Shadows done in hardware as opposed to software don't get my juices flowing somehow.
Take SSX Tricky. Out already for months on PS2, and out in what, June for XBox? On XBox the controls are flawed cos' the game is designed for the PS2 pad, and the graphics aren't much better, with a lot of slowdown.
There are a lot of people on here wishing for ports of PS2 games, and all that is doing is boosting SONYs confidence as they realise that they really do have the games that others want. Get a bloody PS2 if you want to play PS2 games.
A lot of games that are destined for both PS2 and XBox are favouring the PS2 in terms of release date. Pro Race Driver comes to mind here, coming to PS2 at least 6 months earlier than XBox. I don't care how good the XBox version looks, if I can get it on PS2 6 months earlier then I will do so. It's not going to look rubbish on PS2 is it? Sod the XBox (cos' mine bust anyway!).
I need to make a decision about whether or not to get another XBox soon, and at this rate, I'll probably just stick to my PS2 and wait for the PS3 to strike. The XBox isn't that big a leap anyway - certainly not the leap it was from PS1 to PS2.
Beg all you like for PS2 games, but at the end of the day, all this will do is kill the XBox.

Alot of the games arent really PS2 ports. They did come out on PS2 first, but thats because Xbox and GC werent out, or have only come out. Alot of the good PS2 games are coming both to GC and Xbox at the same time.
One of them is already out - and is released for the GC as well, the other is yet to be confirmed.
I think that most third party developers will release their games on ALL platforms. The industry is so big now, with millions of consoles sold, that developers can't really ignore some of the market by saying "We won't develop for the XBox" or whatever.
I admit, there are some good PS2 games that I wouldn't mind seeing on XBox, but if they don't come out then I'm not bothered, there's enough XBox only games to keep me going for a long while yet...
Halo
Amped
Oddworld
Dead or Alive 3
Simpsons road rage
Id reccomend Halo for deffinate but the level where you have to escape and there are all those zombies and little wriggly thingies, is just to hard and I cant seem to get past it. Id also reccomend Dead or alive 3, its brilliant. If any of you cool guys now how to escape then please help me!
> Halo and PGR are the only titles I own at the moment.
I recommend Munch's Oddysee!
I had my PS2 for 6 minths before selling it. In that time I got 4 games.
I don't play games much, so I don't need loads of games. I would much rather have a few quality titles than loads of rubbish ones.
Because of that, the list of XBox exclusives is enough for me:
Halo and PGR are the only titles I own at the moment. I want Amped and JSRF. Then over the next couple of months I want Grand Prix 4, Morrowind (both availabe on PC, but it would cost me about £300 to upgrade my PC to be able to handle these games).
All 6 of those games are HUGE, and PGR, Halo and GP4 have lots of multiplayer options also.
Then, if I've got the spare time and money I may get titles like Tonty Hawks 3, GTA3, Colin MCrae etc.
All in all I'm happy with my choice, and that's all I care about.
