A lot of the newer people here judge a persons worth by thier rank.

Some of the older people, who should know better, still judge a persons worth by thier rank.

The best of the people here judge a person on what they have posted, not the colour of thier name. Personally, Sniper and Er-no are not what I consider to be 'noteable' - ie, the people whose posts I will read no matter what.

This is probably because they were 'before my time'. I accept that.

In my eyes, Belldandy, Mr. Happy, and unknown kernal are noteable, because I like to read thier posts.

Thats just an example.

Basicly, I want to get this way of doing things across to the newer people. So I propose that the 'good' people on here take the words 'noteable', 'reguler', and 'newbie' out of thier posting vocabulery. That way we set a good example, by not discriminating at all.

If anyone asks why peoples names are in different colours, just say that we don't know, it's there for administrative purposes.

This is just an idea. If there is a gaping flaw in it, please point it out to me.

It's just that,

Er-no is probably one of the greatest Notables, his hilarious topics, he writes about games, his ability to inform and entertain, he does competitions and he is one hell of a GAD winner... he is one of the forums greatest characters...

I just hope my Notable Hunting/Nintendo talking ways will get me as far as er-no has gone... *RESPECT*

I am sooo dissapointed in that Sniper is as worthy as Grix as er-no as Goatboy and as the rest...

It must be coming up to a year since it was decided that there should be notables, I remember being voted in, and not knowing about it for a while, because Georgia had just been born.

Definitely. People have improved so much, it's irritating to see other people not improving in the same way.

I agree. I came here and was a complete idiot. I'd never even been on forums before and just like you see a normal newbie, my spelling was probably like that. I didn't even basically know what a commar was and got a lot of stick for it.

But look at me now. I ain't the best poster on the site, I don't pretend to me, in fact, I don't think much of my writng ability, but Iv'e made some decet friends on this place, and even though I hardly ever come on, I still chat to most of them daily, on MSN.

Great place.

Oh, and as for Sniper and er-no thing. I don't really think that's fair. Not many people even care to get to know Sniper, but when I first came here, I used to talk to him a lot on MSN and he is a great person. You shouldn't just judge people like that and as for er-no, I can't see how you can say he isn't.

This notable stuff: it doesn't really seem fair that these people get voted in for being good, and now you decide to moan about it, because they don't meet your requirements? Real nice.

Gold name just means you're special and better than everyone else except staff.

Nothing to it really.

I think it says where the notables are explained that notable is someone who gives something to the SR forums and has made the forums a great place to be.

Both Er-no and Sniper were HUGELY popular before and around the first notable vote. Er-no played a big part with many exellent posts, in the early days he was someone that made the forums.

Sniper on the other hand was known for his negative attitude and BIG attitude etc, he featured heavily in many peoples posts and was a character everyone knew.

That is why they were made notables.

But now, as the forums are being taken over by spam (and/or 'idiots' as many people have said) its the quality of peoples posts that will make them a notable. As they are the ones who are not being idiots and actually doing these forums justice being a greta community and the Special Reserve staff justice as they kindly hand out prizes.

I know its a VERY long time before I come a notable, if I ever will, but to me I will love this place no matter how many idiots there are here, just as long as we have the people that make it all worthwhile.

Thanks to those people and thanks to Special Reserve.

You've just got five votes from people or so. You're now a notable.

Eight people group up, and decide that you're not fit to be a notable, and set up a petition to get you removed.

Real nice.
