Now, it was ALWAYS the case that the Xbox was to do very badly in Japan. It's games are marketted at a Western audience, and the Japanese just aren't receptive of foreign products. So it's failed there.
However, in America- the place where MS is aiming the console at, sales are really good! Not only has the console exceeded sales predictions by everyone (including MS), but the console continues to sell more hardware and software units than the less expensive GC. Of course, the PS2 sales will always be in front- Sony has the brand share and library of games already there.
At home, in Europe (Ok, so we're Brits, not Europeans!), the console is fairing fairly well. It has been critised that Xbox games aren't in the charts any more. Should the be? After all, there are litterally MILLIONS of PS2s out, and Sony will always have more game sales while the Xbox is at this early stage.
However, looking at the figures, for a post-christmas launch the console is bettering anything that's come before it. It's probably going to have a console share in europe equal to that of Ninty's- and Ninty are no small fry.
Overall, the Xbox looks to be bettering the 6 million consoles sold by July. It's failed in Japan, but has stolen America, and got an average share of Europe. All MS wanted with the console was to get SOME share of the market for the future- and they've got that. Indeed, they'll probably have a bigger share of the market that Ninty in 5 years time! When you consider that the Dreamcast, made by well-established Sega, failed then it's amazing the MS have cracked the market at all.

So, obviously your site (that you refus to name)
What the hell you talking about?
I told you how to find it, i paid it a fleeting glance iam not going to commit it to memory.
So, obviously your site (that you refus to name) is just plain wrong. MS is outselling GC in America by a long way

Not according to the sources i have seen.
Nintendo is well

Right, have you even seen the sales figures? Clearly not.
When the consoles were released in America, Ninty expected 1.2 million GC's by Xmas, and MS expected 1.6 million. Both went just over their sales predictions. The GC had 1.4 games/console and the Xbox had 2.3 games/console last time I checked! Despite the console being more expensive. Snce Xmas, the Xbox has had about 30,000 more console sales per month
So, where are your slaes figures? Source?

Nintendo is well established, well liked and affordable.
Oh, and the source of these figures.
Sony sales predictions forecast to investors at a corporate conference last year.
Nintedo predicted sales taken from 2 months prior to launch of console.
Microsoft forcasts at the announement of the console.
And the independant figures are off Gaming-sage.com from ages ago.
Obviously the figures did differ, and this is about the average. Ninty's share has probably gone up thanks to the Japanese and American success of the GC, and MS's has been dented a bit (but not much) due to Japanese figures (Japanese predictions were never high to begin with(.

I dont see Microsoft having a larger share than Nintendo ever.
Ninty, Sony, MS and independant analysts have all said that, in 5

Err...Links?
Or have you been to the future?

YES! The launch of a console should raise significant interest to keep its games in the charts.
