Been playing "Jedi Knight 2" since Friday and it's...well...Star Wars.
But Star Wars of the old films, not Star Wars of Phantom Menace.
I have gone from being just another Rebel Scum to a full-on Jedi mofo.
I can move at 100% my usual speed, can choke them from afar with force-grip and pull the weapons from the hands of stupid stormtroopers.
I can leap 8 times my height (like Mighty Mouse but with no Opera singing beforehand).
And I can take on 3 Reborn Jedi and win, easily.
I
Rule.
Multiplayer is cool, but the single player game is the cat's ass.
Oh yes.
And I even had Luke Skywalker pop up and offer to help, but he's a poncy farmboy and I whupped them all without his gimping help.
Because I am that hard.
Bring it on foo', I'll break you off some,Jedi Style.
Hiiiiiiiii-ya!
I am skilled with the Sword, the powerfullest of them all!
Mua ha ha ha ha ha! Mua ha ha
But, I'd still love to get this game. Must get new PC...

The force is strong in this one
What
> is the best bit of the game so far mr Goatboy??
---
The bit where you 1st get to use your lightsaber on a Cantina full of Greedo people. (yes, it has the Cantina music).
No, the bit where you 1st meet a Reborn Jedi and engage in your 1st lightsaber fight.
No, that's not it either.
The bit where you have to get through the trash compacter.
No...
It's *all* good bits.
When it starts, the 1st few levels you dont have any Jedi Powers, you have to earn them.
So it's an FPS but in Star Wars Universe.
And then you get to the Jedi Temple, walk about and watch trainees having lightsaber fights, then have to undergo your own trials to get your lightsaber and force powers.
From being a top game, as soon as you start to develop your Jedi abilities (starts at 1, can reach 3) and your lightsaber, it kicks into one of the best games I've played yet.
Graphics are outstanding, sound effects are fantastic.
But the main reason it rules is that it *is* Star Wars.
The whole game reeks of genuine attention to the movies.
On Bespin, you have a lightsaber fight in a Carbonite Freezing room and it looks *exactly* like Empire Strikes Back.
Picture your fav moments from the movies and chances are they're in here somewhere.
Trash compactors, detention blocks, Scout Walkers, Tie Fighters, Cantinas...
This game rules.
And multiplayer means if *any* of you think you can take me on, I'm willing to engage you in battle.
Feel my force or something.
:D
