Been playing "Jedi Knight 2" since Friday and it's...well...Star Wars.
But Star Wars of the old films, not Star Wars of Phantom Menace.
I have gone from being just another Rebel Scum to a full-on Jedi mofo.
I can move at 100% my usual speed, can choke them from afar with force-grip and pull the weapons from the hands of stupid stormtroopers.
I can leap 8 times my height (like Mighty Mouse but with no Opera singing beforehand).
And I can take on 3 Reborn Jedi and win, easily.
I
Rule.
Multiplayer is cool, but the single player game is the cat's ass.
Oh yes.
And I even had Luke Skywalker pop up and offer to help, but he's a poncy farmboy and I whupped them all without his gimping help.
Because I am that hard.
Bring it on foo', I'll break you off some,Jedi Style.
Hiiiiiiiii-ya!
"I thoughy Phantom Menace on the PC was a brilliant game."
"So did the Official PSX Mag, actually."
Didn't realise Official PSX Mag reviewed PC games... :0)
But no, it's crap. No, really, it is. I don't care how much you enjoyed it, it's crap. :0)
I think, perhaps, because you could refer to a game with lightsabers and Star Wars in, perhaps you just judged the game on bringing back those memories.
But, highly recommend these games for ultimate Star Wars experiences:
X-Wing/Tie Fighter. There's a little box with those two in, remastered with updated graphics. WELL worth the purchase. Oh, and get a joystick.
X-Wing Alliance as well. Superb game, fly the Millenium Falcon into the Death Star, blow it up, and fly out.
Jedi Knight, the first one. This is excellent too... excellent level design, first time you used a lightsaber [properly] in a game, and it rules. You fight jedi and get force powers.
Jedi Knight 2, the sequel. It's better than the first, and that's saying something.

Which Episode 1 games ruled?
Racer was

I thoughy Phantom Menace on the PC was a brilliant game. :D
No, I really did. So did the Official PSX Mag, actually. Racer was okay, although I expect Racer Revenge is better. Jedi Power Battles was excellent, but frustrating at times.
The Jedi Temple, where Luke teaches all the jedi's how to swing their sabers, (heh), is actually Yavin 4, the moon that the Rebel's are on in A New Hope. You know, at the end, when the Death Star is coming in fast on the moon?
Well, you know the little computer they had of how close the Death Star is to firing? The red thing?
That's in there. Turn right when you go in the front of the temple, room in there. C3-PO and R2-D2 are there too.

Racer was okayish, Battle for Naboo was iffy but the rest where a bit on the pants side.

100% your usual speed?
That looks like the same speed to me.
