I have bought Burnout2 and it is a class game, with a lot more features and when playing it for numerous hours I thought to myself this is the best racer I have played in a long time.

However that was until I played Need for Speed Hot Pursuit2, the two player mode on this game is awesome with cop pursuits on both players, it has stinger traps, helicopters with missiles and bombs. You can also play the cop and setup your own road blocks and stingers.

It is a very well thought out game that has finally produced a quality need for speed game, it looks good and plays even better.

I played the demo of NFS on the PS2 and thought the frame rate completely sucked.
Though it was the demo from a few months ago, so the finished version may be better?

No EA are well known for doing lazy ports actually my friend, if developers don't care about Cube and Xbox why do we get better, upgraded versions of the majority of multi-platform releases?

Dave RJR it is not that developers don't care it is that they want to sell as many units as possible to make profit and this means they develop for the market leader first to get a solid base then slap a Xbox and GC logo on the front and release these titles a few weeks after the PS2 version.

Could not have been the same game as I have then, because I have both NFS and Burnout2 and the gameplay speed is very similar.

- but hold on, I thought the GC and XBox were both Developers dream machines compared with PS2. So porting should be easy and quick then? O, well, perhaps the developers just don't care about GC and XBox owners.

It has been reported that the GC and XBox versions of NFS dont run as well as the PS2 version. Me thinks it's poor porting at fault.

If you had the PS2 version instead of a cheap Ninty port you would not be saying that.

Need for Speed's quite good but highly doubt it's better than Burnout 2. Havne't played Burnout but NFS is very slow.
