According to someone on the boards over at OXM's official site, Blinx is being released this friday.

There's actually been a lot of questioning over that review. Some even claiming that OXM were very biast with it, or they just wanted one of the most hyped games in the Xbox release list to be good, even though it isn't.
Having seen that review, I haven't seen anywhere else at all that rate it that high. Most places (including websites like gamespot) rate it average, with scores like 3/5, which would equal 6/10, nothing like what OXM gave it.
I'm also undecided about this game. It could surprise us all. But after the amount of hype it's been given - seeing the reviews and talking to people in America who've bought or rented it has left me feeling really let down.

Well, I bought OXM today which has a review. I didn't say anything about it earlier, because I'd only have got jumped on. But now you've broken the ice... :-)
They rated it at 9.3 and say lots of good things about it, but reading between the lines, it sounds like just another platformer. And looking at the screen shots, I have to say that visually, it doesn't appeal. Most of the locations look a little bland, and in terms of colour, it appears that most of the locations are lacking in colour - all shades of the same colour.
They claim it's the 2nd best Xbox game behind Halo. I'm not convinced.

If all goes well, this Friday should see the release of Fifa 2003 and Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast.
The 8th of November should see the release of Blinx and House of the Dead 3. :-) Week after that I think is Unreal Championship and the 22nd of November should bring Splinter Cell and Mech Assault. :-)
There are other games coming on these dates too of course but these are the ones that stand out. :-)
