EU Fines Nintendo
According to Reuters, the EU are fining Nintendo and their European distributors next week for breaking antitrust regulations with it's sales practices in the mid-90's. They were accused in 2000 of limiting cross-border flow of their products to raise wholesale prices as retailers could only order from the distributors for their country and couldn't import cheaper goods.
Unsurprisingly this is bad for Nintendo's stock prices. This coupled with them reducing their GameCube sales forecasts has made their stock prices drop 19% in the last month.

Nintendo kicked Rare out because they were losing too much of Nintendo's money, Rare had made millions each time they release a game BUT they took so long and required such advanced tools that at the end of the N64's life in total Rare made a loss... it was feared that they were getting even worse... Nintendo had the far quicker, smaller and less demanding developers in the form of Retro Studio's and Silicon Knights both just as class as RAre but smaller. Nintendo told Rare they weren't allowed to make any Nintendo character induced games again, they sold their shares in Rare, they didn't sign the exclusive deal again and Nintendo turned down rare's offer of a buy out...
Rare were lost no major names bar their own, no money from Nintendo, frankly they were shocked and dissapointed... so they turned to Microsoft who needed some class games as their current range wasn't pulling in the gamers.
As for the EU thing this appeal will drop the price but not remove the fine... they'll drop it until it reaches the ammount they have in their special fund they set up for this.

Not sure about the "Gamecube adapter" But there is a new controller called the "Controller S" its the smaller version of the original. I like it.
Still I think the Banjo games are among my most favourites ever! When one is released for X Box I just may have to buy the X Box for this game.
Can't get used to the pad though sorry. I was playing Aggressive Inline today with one and I kept hitting the button which makes you spin around to face the opposite way instead of the grind button. It was kinda annoying suppose you get used to it though yah?
Also i think the GC sales will fall as their big games are coming out, zelda metroid and mario, so the sales will be high and then slump as everyone will have the console to play the game on, and even off just below the sales it was before it happened.
All so microsoft were good with this rare thing, they could of taken them before starfox was released and not bother buying the banjo, conkar and perfect dark games of nintendo. Instead they waited and then starfox was released and they got the licences of the other games, so now they have class titles on the way and money from starfox being sold... and letting them contimue game on GBA is a good idea as microsoft hasnt got a handheld so its no competition but still they will make money from it.
