"Best/Worst Spur of the moment purchase?"

We've all done it. Just bought an album/DVD/book on a whim. Real spur of the moment thing.

So what's your best/worst whimsical purchases?

My best was Muse - Showbiz.

I'd only heard one single from it, and for some reason I felt a bit down that day and wanted to buy something to cheer myself up.

So I bought that. And it certainly did the trick! I tremendous album that I still listen to.

Worst: Has got to be Hearsays DVD Single Pure and Simple. Dont ask me why I had a £1 to spend and thought umm that might be fun... turned out it wasn't and im now £1 short of a picnic; if u know what i mean.


Best: Linkin Parks album, or Gia DVD, Angelina Jolie lesbo action, its heaven...

Best - Almost Famous.

Best - Memento, heard you lot going on about it all the time....WOW!!

Worst - Spiritualised, the new album, can't even remember its name

I saw Kula Shaker live once. Anyway, they were supported by a band called 'Soundtrack of our Lives', the lead singer looked like a fat Jesus.

Weeks later I saw their album in Virgin, so I bought it, having not planned to, or even known it had been released. And it was pretty good.

Best DVD purchase was Arlington Road.

I'd had it recommended to me by Mr Nice Guy and did want to get it, but I wasn't planning on getting a DVD that day, so it was kind of spur of the moment when I saw it.

Worst is Men in Black - The Game. Can't think of a CD/DVD/Book

Best - Goo Goo Dolls; Dizzy up the girl

Worst - Kula Shaker CD.

Sexy Beast. Just wanted a movie, saw Ray Winstone in his pants on the cover and thought "Why not".

Worst:
Conemelt CD.
Thought they would be hardcore noise.

Best - A Merz album
Worst - Sugar Coated Iceberg by The Lightning Seeds, CD1 & CD2 for some reason.

Raging Bull and Platoon, most recently. Just saw them, thought "oh yeah, they're supposed to be good", and bought them both. Excellent films.
