We've all done it. Just bought an album/DVD/book on a whim. Real spur of the moment thing.

So what's your best/worst whimsical purchases?

My best was Muse - Showbiz.

I'd only heard one single from it, and for some reason I felt a bit down that day and wanted to buy something to cheer myself up.

So I bought that. And it certainly did the trick! I tremendous album that I still listen to.

You?

I bought a book called The Good Soldier Svejk by Jaroslav Hasek because it had a nice cover. Apparently its quite well known (except by me). Anyway its about this soldier, Svejk, during WWI: he reminds me of Baldrick from Blackadder. It really is the funniest book I've read in a long time. Go get it, and pretend you're a cultured bohemian like me.

Worst purchase: a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat-em-up for the SNES. It cost about fifty quid, and I'd been saving up for something good like Zelda or Mario Kart. But I go to the shop, and did I manage to igore the hype and a big turtle display? Did I $#&%!

Worst is Ash - Free All Angels, hate that Album now, really can't remember what I saw in it.

(I think it was Sometimes, can't remember)

Everyone seems to have grown a dislike to that album since buying it.

The best would have to be Incubus - Morning View

I bought the Next Friday Soundtrack the other day which is pretty good really.

On a purely inquisitive note, what on earth made you think that a Kittie album would be anything else?

Best most recently was "Iron Monkey", got it cheap with Crouching Tiger, thout it'd be a bit pants "but hey, its cheap" but found it to be one of my favourite Kung Fu films ever!

Worst, recently was probably Dancer in the dark. Amazing film, but too sad to watch more than once. Should have just rented it.
