If a title was available on all consoles, would you have a preference?
I'm trying to see if you choose a console because of a specific game, or whether you have brand loyalty...that sort of thing.

Personally, I would either go for the PS2 or Xbox. To be honest, the Xbox is my choice because I trust Microsoft to provide quality gaming as they have done for my PC.
I wouldn't go near the Gamecube, solely for the fact that I had an N64 and was really, really unhappy with it after a week or so.

I'm not saying "Tell me which console is best", I'm saying "Which do you prefer and why?"
Whatever one you choose is cool, there can't be any wrong answers

(I hope)

I don't get the question. ;-)

The first line seems to be asking "If I had all consoles, ant the same game was available for each, which version would I choose?"

If that's the question, then I'd read the reviews, to see which version was best. Probably go for the platform that the game was originally designed for, as the control method would have been designed more for that controller.

If you're just asking which console I'd most likely get/ have go and why, then it's Gamecube, but only because I find the games more appealing.

I'm going to assume you're counting the PC as a console/platform. If so, I would always pick PCs because games can last longer, due to the collection of free mods and stuff available on the internet.

If - theoretically - I had all three next-gen consoles I'd probably choose on the basis of the controller first. I've only tried the GC and XBox controllers briefly but my preference at the moment is for the GC. It may or may not be brand loyalty but I've always found that Nintendo joypads feel and respond better than any other make. Second, if a game came out on one platform way before another (eg, GTA3 on PS2 and PC) then I'd go for the first version.

I would personally go for a GameCube for the simple reason the controller is MARGINALLY better than other consoles but that would be my chpoice if all the games looked identical (graphics, sound and features)...

I would probably get the one with the most features and better graphics if the ylooked different on all the consoles...

Brand loyalty means nothing to me.........

I'd have it on the PS2. I don't own one, but should be getting one in a month or two, and the following reasons are why I'd have it on Sony's beloved console:

- Microsoft's X-Box is an untested console, and it will be a few months until it has got some decent games, and some feedback.

- Nintendo and Dreamcast both have terrible controllers (IMHO), but then I had a Playstation for 3 years before I got a Dreamcast, and about 4 before I got an N64, so I probably would say that from a biased point of view.

- Sony have been tried and tested, and we know that they're good (sorry, that sounded biased, didn't it? :D). The PS1 was great, but the PS2 is better, hence I think that it should be on the best console. In a word: I think that the PS2 is the best console, until the X-Box has been out a while, got some sales and some feedback from customers and critics alike.

If the game is good enough, it won't matter which console it's on.

I'd choose Sony because I've got a PS2. The only other alternative for me is Dreamcast because that's the other console I've got, but the PS2 has already proven itself capable of being superior to the DC.

So the chances are the PS2 game would be slightly more of a better gaming experience than the DC game. (Not always the case though).

I wouldn't choose the XBox version or the Gamecube version solely because I don't own either of those consoles. If I had an XBox and all titles currently available for the PS2 were out for it, then I'd probably go for the XBox version everytime.

I got my PS2 basicly because I had a Playstation and loved having it.
I knew that there would be a good list of games to be released for it,so it was an easy decision for me

I do want a gamecube though..I had an N64 and did enjoy..the odd game on it, namely the first Zelda. I dunno why though..I just seem drawn to it.

For now I can do without an XBox. I will get one when the price comes down and when my oompa loompa hands grow.
Also there hasn't been a game that really grabbed my attention.

Oh and YH, did you get Rallisport yet?
Still unsure about Project Gotham Racing, seems too similar in design to GT3.
