Whilst flickly through the latest Official UK Playstation 2 Magazine the other day, I came across a story:-

"OPSM2 can exclusively reveal that the GameCube's upcoming first person shooter, Die Hard: Vendetta, will appear on PS2"

Unfortunately, this is from the official magazine, so things aren't looking good for Nintendo's 'adult' exclusives. However:-

The official site, and they seem to think that the game was designed specifically for the GameCube. Both sources are official, but who should we believe?

This is from ps2.ign.com...

September 11, 2002 - IGN learned today that Die Hard: Vendetta, the supposedly GameCube-exclusive title, may find its way to a PlayStation 2 soon.

In a catalogue handed out by Sierra Studios at ECTS 2002, Die Hard: Vendetta is listed with several logos, including a GameCube and PlayStation 2 logo. Either the addition of the PS2 logo was a mistake, or it was intended to subtly confirm that the Bit Studios-developed first-person shooter is indeed coming to PlayStation 2.

A Sierra representative would not comment on the interestingly placed logo. In a previous interview with the Bits Studios CEO, the high-level executive hinted at the game appearing on another system.

The first-person shooter takes elements, characters, and scenarios from the Die Hard movie series and ties them together in an original story that revolves around New York cop John McClane rescuing his daughter and solving a major art-theft heist.

Let's just hope it doesn't come out on X-Box, eh?

I once saw this thing... It said that Mario was going to be sold to Sony for a packet of frozen chips... It also said that Shigsy was going XB exclusive... It was called a Fanboy.

Saw the article in the PS2 mag, but have yet to see the announcement on any of the games web-sites I usually visit. At this time it just sounds like another rumour.

I remember a Playstation magazine once saying that Goldeneye was coming to PS. Then they said Zelda was coming out on the Playstation. They do it all the time.

I'm not really bothered if it might also be on PS2. It'll still be on the GC and either way we will still be able to get it.

Well ofcourse they could be wrong, but the sheets with all the release dates where I work all indicate Die Hard Vendetta is Gamecube exclusive.

Never trust anything untill the company making the game has confirmed it themself. We all thought Burnout 2 wasn't coming to the Cube but we were wrong.
