Whilst flickly through the latest Official UK Playstation 2 Magazine the other day, I came across a story:-

"OPSM2 can exclusively reveal that the GameCube's upcoming first person shooter, Die Hard: Vendetta, will appear on PS2"

Unfortunately, this is from the official magazine, so things aren't looking good for Nintendo's 'adult' exclusives. However:-

The official site, and they seem to think that the game was designed specifically for the GameCube. Both sources are official, but who should we believe?

Still, would have been nice to have a multiplayer option. Erm.. anyone that's completed it, how long did it take you roughly? And do you play it again?

The single-player elements of this game are superb, but I don't think added multi-player options will make this game anymore worth-buying if you already have it on the GameCube.

Then again... It depends on what it's really like...
If there are some TimeSplitters 2 mini-games to be added - perhaps ones that see you infiltrating certain places and taking a number of hostages without being notice, then perhaps it would be worth it...

But I doubt it. I reckon it'll just be like any-other FPS with a multi-player mode thrown-in in the last-5-minutes.

yeah but then again, the 'x box exclusive' splinter cell, is coming to the mighty cube so you have to give a little to get something,

I rented it out and completed it on normal within a few days. Yes, it is sh-it. When you fail a level because of doing one minor thing wrong it lowers the playability of the game resulting in a frustrating experience. Without all the swearing and hilarious speeches, it'd just be like any other FPS albeit with poor controls.

I don't give a monkeys that it's coming out on PS2 - yet again, it's an example of a great license wasted because of time restrictions and not enough time given to playtesting. Basically, it's just a license to print money.

I think the game's only downfall was that it failed to include a multiplayer mode, which was just something the game needed to last longer. Besides that, very good game I enjoyed it allot.

Yes, it was indeed a great game. I've only managed to complete it on Easy so far, and even then, some of the levels were tricky. No, it's not a TS2 beater, but it certianly brought me hours of fun.

Most people who say it's sh-it most likely haven't played it and are going by what they've read in magazines.

I thought it was a great little game, some superb levels.

I think it's good, the enemies have pants AI, but it's damn good fun.

I thought it was pretty good. A multi-player would have killed, though.
