What features and aspects of games and gameplay should (and must) be consigned to the Gaming Graveyard?

Well, as a prize gravedigger, I have several game-related corpses I'd like to see buried for good.

(1) BOSSES.
My primary bugbear.
Why can't developers think of a new and different way of bringing an area/level/game to a climax!
But no, we have to sit through yet another tedious and frustrating boss battle which is almost identical to the previous boss battles we faced in the last adventure game we played!
The words: "Seen it all before" spring to mind!

(2) POP-UP.
We are seeing this hideous graphical affliction progressively less and less, so its burial day is not too far away.
But when it is present, especially in a serious racing game, it totally destroys it, as you find yourself constantly scanning the horizon waiting for the inevitable and ugly - POP!

(3) TURN-BASED COMBAT.
The main reason why I can't stand RPGs.
I wouldn't mind them so much if they didn't crop up every three minutes like a recurring and annoying itch!

(4) GHOST TOWNS.
Metropolis Street Racer & Project Gotham Racing take note: where the hell are the citizens of the cities?
Racing around the accurately recreated streets listening to sounds of the city on the radio, and there isn't so much as a single measly pedestrian!
The realism flies straight out the window from the off!

(5) CLICHED BEAT EM UP CHARACTERS.
The fast, agile and high jumping young female.
The slow but incredibly strong wrestler type - who's only effective in close combat.
The wise and cheeky old master.
The ultra cool and flashy blonde American.
The Japanese martial arts expert who is calm, slightly mysterious and stylishly adept.
Change the record guys!

So as the sun softly descends in the western mists, I fogmarch them all into the the Gaming Graveyard and push them one by one into my freshly dug pit without ceremony or respect.

R.I.P.
And burn in Hell.

I need to add another one to the graveyard: TIME LIMITS!
They're driving me nuts on some of the GTA3 missions!

Jumps in after and saves it grabbing on to to it and a bit of pipe sticking out. Uses a force jump and slices through Darth Maul, sending him flying down to Room 101. Oh dear, Endless Star Wars episode One games went in but Obi Wan for the X-Box was saved!

Yes. The more evil things going

Then we should add you in there. Come on, it was temporarily funny, wasn't it?
