Ratchet and Clank has moved the goal posts in terms of platform games and left Mario Rainyday in its shadow.
It would appear the once king of platformers is just to long in the tooth don't take my word for it the general trend of decreased GC sales and the fact it is now firmly 3rd in the Next Gen war only goes to prove this point.
Resident Evil has hardly been a raving success and neither has Mario Sunshine only managed 1 or 2 weeks at the top.
With games like The Getaway, GTA Vice City and Ratchet and Clank Nintendo can no longer claim to have the best games then again you could say that was obvious to everyone but Ninty fanboys for a long time.
New Resi, New Zelda, by the time all these come out I will be playing on the PS3.

I think that says more for how quick Sony are to admit they were wrong with the last console, and have to try again.

You could level that one at loads of sequels (on all consoles). What is a real "change", "innovation", or "upgrade". I would say the move from the top down based GTA to the GTA3 world counts as a genuine upgrade. Driver 2 over Driver 1 - example of a poor upgrade, the original looks, plays, better than the sequel.
Because it's been 6 years since the last Mario game and a hell of a lot has changed, this time last year GTA3 was released.
This is Nintendo's big problem they still produce like they are back in the Early 90's people are fed up of waiting and the Sales figures support that. New Resi, New Zelda, by the time all these come out I will be playing on the PS3.

HA! Take that!

It's not a 1st person shooter you t*t, it's a first person adventure, more innovative than anything out or coming out on the PS2 in the near future.
Get your facts straight you little mong.
Darn it.

Sorry but it is not hard to produce a FPS that has a score like that look at Timesplitters 2, MOH, Halo, Red Faction the fact of the matter is does the world really need yet another FPS boring.
