In a well known high street store they saw that the X-box was being released on the son's birthday so instead of getting the requested PS2 they ordered an X-box and got it today. I Don't know how he responded but my question is how would you? Imagine you're unwrapping the PS2-shaped box (I know the X-box in its box is probably the size of Lithuania but use your imagination dammit!) and you discover the neon green X... good? bad? indifferent? The decision is yours...
(The rest of the thing my Mum was telling me involves hiding the receit so he wouldn't find it and then losing it and blah blah blah.)

You couldn't rattle my cage with an iron bar, you jumped-up little Ninty fanboy.
I'm a neutral gamer who has a PS2, is getting an Xbox soon and may get a Gamecube when it's launched.
I'm just sick of biased little buttwipes like yourself making stupid, snide and baseless comments about anything non-Nintendo.
In fact, it's the thought of joining the heaving ranks of little twerps like you that is my biggest reason for NOT buying a Gamecube.
Good grief, nursery finshes early these days. Isn't it nap time?

What's so exciting about the Gamecube? I'd say it was the least exciting console ever to be released. There are only about 40 games coming out for it so far and even the ones which are meant to be amazing (eg Pikmin) have turned out to be pretty average. I mean, the most exciting GC games are apparently Rogue Leader 2 (Re-hash), Smash Brothers Melee (Nothing original or exciting) and Luigi's Mansion (Really quite dull). There are a few more 'exciting' titles too but most others are coming out on PS2 and Xbox and most decent upcoming titles will never see the light of day on GC. I seriously cannot see how GC can get anywhere in the 'console war'. It will please the Nintendo fans but won't attract anyone new like Microsoft had to.
Oh, and I'm not a PS2 owner. I'm an Xbox owner.

Probabaly a bit of both!
So if I asked for a Cube and got a Box, I'd still be grateful, but it'd mean I'd have to buy a Cube myself
>I'm a neutral gamer
then I shall respond to you with a neutral comment :D .....

> good game even the N64 did!!!!
What do you mean 'even the N64'? It has really great games! Mario 64, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Zelda 1 and 2, Conker...
It was a really good console!
Although that won't happen to me at the end of the month.
I'm sick of PS2's now, everyone's got one and they all reckon they're the best! - but wake up! Their only competition was just released yesterday!!
There may be a few good games, but as the pad's the same as the PS's and most games are aslo very similar, i'd rather go for a box after i've got my Cube.
But that's just my opinion, and it shows what kind of games appeal to me!
