I wasn't aware that Halo is going to be released on the PS 2?
It seems to me that X Box is aiming at the same market as PS2 - Look at the the games.
Amped / SSX + other Snowboard Games
Dead or Alive 3 / Tekken 4, VF4 and other beat em ups
PGR / GT3 and other racers
Halo / Half Life, Timesplitters 2 and other FPS
Fifa 2002 / Fifa 2002 and they are not getting Pro Evolution !
Basically evrything sits in the same genres that are avaiable to us PS2 owners, some of them may look a little better and play a little better and others will look and play worse.
To me it's not worth the extra money to buy into X box when it is priced so high copmared with PS2 and Gamecube when it offers little in the way of innovation.

True, but the same goes the other way round. And PS2 is getting a MoH game, and Wolfenstein.
PGR is largely irrelevant, as we have GT3. Wreckless is classes as a 'rental' by Gamespot - graphically beautiful, but flawed in gameplay. It's a game I wanted when I saw the video, but after reading the review, I wouldn't bother - give me GTA3 any day.

True, but the same goes the other way round. And PS2 is getting a MoH game, and Wolfenstein.

Sure, the X-box is getting a lot of PS2 ports but it will also be getting loads of games that aint on the PS2.
eg...Dead or Alive 3, Halo, Project Gotham racing, Medal of honour: allied Assualt, Return to Castle Wolfenstien, wreckless, better version of Max payne (not just graphically either)
Sure, X-box does have a lot of PS2 stuff, but it also offers alot of games that only come out on the PC and that will be probably an exclusive on the console front. Take Championship manager for example, which can only be played on the X-box becasue of the hard-drive. PS2 will be getting a hard-drive soon but i'd like to see how Sony are gonna make the Hard-drive reach a large enough propertion of PS2 owners for developers to implement features which use its abilities.
