It is the PS2. I'm certain. It is now not playing my Pro Evo 2. It's weird becuase one minute it says "Disc read error" and the next it's working.

So I rang Sony, and they said it's the console, so they're bringing a new one round on Tuesday.

Not sure, but I think it's a 24-hour helpline.

They will take your old PS2 away though, so don't go thinking you'll have a free 2nd machine!

I'd say it's my Vice City, but still a new PS2 is a new PS2. :-D

Yep.

Usually about 48 hours, if it's still within the warranty period.

If it's not, they'll still change it, but possibly at a cost.

Have you tried a DVD/CD lens cleaner? May just be dirt on the reading head. I purchased a cleaner at the weakend and GTA seems to now run better. It is one of the more demanding games on the PS2 due to constant disk access.

Thanks for that.

Well is happens when I go to laod on the Browser screen. My disc isn't damaged that much just the odd scratch here and there. I can really ring Sony? how long would they take on replacing it?

It's okay at the moment though.

And thanks again
