What is FairPlay? FairPlay is a campaign that was started by a handful of individuals who think the prices of games are artificially high. They are made up of journalists and former developers who have a deep argument for why they think games are ovally inflated. Their first aim is to get their campaign noticed by staging a one week protest from the 1st December to the 8th and is asking that everyone doesn't buy a game within this week. I will buy games at the lowest price I can find unless I want them delivered on the day of release (VC being one example) but anything else can wait.
We've had this argument loads of times before on here or in other forums and nothing changes, taking a "oh I wont buy any games on this day" approach will not work, because people will buy games when they want and at whatever price they want.
Untill such time as everyone wakes upto the fact that buying a game off the Internet is cheaper then the shops/games companies will continue to sell at inflated prices.
If you want to make a difference then I suggest that you inform everyone who purchases their games from shops like EB, GAME, HMV, VIRGIN, WOOLWORTH etc etc to stop and start buying online. That way the fools who buy games at £10 over the Internet shop prices (SR for example) will be forced to bring their prices down and this will effect everyone for the better.

Not a chance in hell..... like Edgy, if there's a game I want I'll buy it.
Artificially high ? Why are they cheaper now than in the days of SNES and Megadrive, especially taking into account that since those days people's incomes have risen with inflation e.t.c. And consoles are going down in price all the time - on it's release the SNES was around £200, the PSone was about £200+
And, how does not buying games for one week actually effect this anyway ? Basic economics says that the more people buy a product the cheaper it can become, so this fairplay thing is arguign that by people not buying a product it will get cheaper ? Hmm....okay.
Fair enough, if people want to do it then have fun, I know that the people not doing it will be the ones really having fun !
