Does anybody know anywhere online that sells broadband modem cable by the metre - I need 20 metres and it has to be RJ11....

I know what you mean I reckon they should have an option to change your gamer tag once in a subscription year. So people dont always get that bored.

Lol, anyways got an email from Tiscali last night, about (:30 ish confirming the line is now activated and that my modem is in the hands of another highly competent organisation - the Royal Mail...*sighs*

Still, got the money for Xbox Live, looks like I'l have broadband up and running by end of the week, so hopefully be on Xbox Live as soon as MS put up the order page and I get the pack !

Just need to think up a gamertag, can't use Belldandy as it'll confuse the Americans :P

It's now been 7 FULL business days, and 4 non business days, since I signed up for Tiscali Broadband. No modem delivered, no line activated, no email, just this stupid message day after day on the status page of the order.

Yes, I'm maybe impatient, but just how hard is it to flick a few switches at the exchange ? And couldn't they at least change the message so it seems like I'm getting somewhere.

Still, they did say 10 business days maximum, and if it says the same on Friday, then hell hath no fury like the person who is p*ssed off waiting for Broadband...watch out Tiscali customer services, thou days are numbered :)

I know of one "chipper" who doesn't want to chip his xbox when he gets one tommorow because he found it ruined his experience.

Maybe UK discs work on US consoles but not US discs on a UK machine. I know that modded XBoxes will not work on XBox Live, so if you have a modded XBox dont even bother trying to get XBox Live. When you log on it checks for it and if it finds anything like a mod chip it will permantly ban your XBoxes serial number meaning you can never use that XBox online.

A: You only enter the country that your credit card is registered to, this is for MS to be able to verify the CC details.
XBOX LIVE (as far as playing goes), does not want to know if you are playing from the US/UK/FRANCE/OZ or mars, - it does not ask you, there is no way of telling it, you play against everybody, everywhere.:
