I say we flip it upside down, take it over to Chinatown and use it as a big wok.

Oh and it's the O2 arena now, they use it for concerts and stuff.

Cake didn't evolve, it was Intelligently Designed.

so we have learnt plenty of useless facts on the terms sheperds and cottage pie.

To continue the trend of this pointless topic, i shall ask for you to propose useless or irrelevant things we can do with the dome in greenwich which was a big waste of money and effort. Espcially for a singe year event.

My possible solutions:

turn it into a nuclear bunker or missile silo for a cold war that ended more then a decade ago.

Host the world championship scissor eating and stabbing yourself contest.

A gladitorial ring that pits the scum of britain against each other

A place where its perfectly legal to commit suicide

a baby factory

an arms facility

a zoo

a museum of how cake has evolved throughout history.

You can either grate some on the top or mash it into the potato. I think grating is more traditional.

I did wonder about that. It hardly seems like a pie to me but then again you can slice it, so i suppose it is.

Oh and by "pie" do we mean pastry or anything that covers/wraps the contents of the food?

What do you call a horse pie?

(that sounds like the start of a really bad joke!)

That is very correct! All down to the mince! Why bother...really?!

But I like the question, it has added a whole new level to this otherwise rubbish topic :)

No, I don't think so. I think it's just the meat content that determines the name.
