It's my impression that there are too many forums. Lately I've been posting in the FOG Chat and also in the Life and the Universe forum. I really prefer to have one favourite forum for my cryptic and biased opinions.

Does anybody have a view on this?

Yes, I think we are missing the point with these. What's the point of writing a long and amusing story in a thread where nobody goes to read them?

I think they were originally given their own forum to stop them from DROPPING too quickly.

Surely anything like that would be best in FOG Prime.

I think the forums should stay the same, perhaps some more would be better.
How about a proper CHAT room like MSN chat type thing rather than posting in forums and waiting 5 minutes for a reply.

You better keep the Life forum, Tonty. And this one and the Nintendo and Sony and Microsoft ones. FOG Prime should be called Game Related GAD attempts.

I think it's good to keep Chat and Life separate.

Chat is often filled with complete rubbish, while Life is only sometimes filled with rubbish... :-)

I think that Life is good for the more serious non-game related topics, and Chat is good for all the other stuff. Like Sheepy's topics.

It seems a bit silly to have a forum purely for GTA:VC, but over the weekend it was released, people were putting threads about it everywhere.

Long Interesting Stories, and Game Ideas and Retro games both hardly ever get any posts relevant to the thread, so they could possibly go?

Apart from that, I think it's pretty spot on.

I'm assuming the notable forum will be deleted once the election is out of the way?

It means there are two forums which are extremely small... possibly.

The story Archive was meant to be an archive, so it's not meant to be busy.

Problem is, newbies kept spamming it.
I still think that it should be made "Reg only", Prime style.

Forums that should remain:

FOG (Chat)
FOG (Prime)
Nintendo
Sony
Microsoft
Sport
Life
SR Bugs
WWE

That would mean deleting:

PC Gaming
Long, Interesting and Amusing Stories
Retro Gaming
