Ahem. We've decided to extend this competition until the end of December to give more people a chance to join up and become popular. Also, if this wasn't made clear in the original post, the winner will only get his/her prize when they become a regular.
Cheers
Ali
UPDATE---UPDATE---UPDATE---UPDATE
The winner will be chosen by the great Snuggly himself, no less.
To compete you have to be a Newbie. The competition can only be won by a genuine newbie joining the forums AFTER today 4 pm on November 21st.
Newbies can enter by proposing themselves on this thread.
They MUST be seconded (on this thread) by at least TWO regulars, staff or notables. Just say "I second [name] for this GAD" or similar.
The more support shown on this thread, the more likely they are to win.
Their overall performance on the forums also counts.
The WINNER will be the BEST NEWBIE as judged by Mr Snuggly on December 13th.
OKAY, go for it (Oh, you're not here yet are you).
Tell yer mates.

I can't take the credit for the Rainbird Games because British Telecom supplied the dosh and some VERY skilled programming groups developed the games. I was the publisher and I was very sad to be let down by my colleagues within BT who basically squandered money as if it was going out of fashion. So I left, and then then closed it.
Special Reserve was much more my baby, but based on an existing business run by Dave Carlos back in 1988. A lot of people have contributed but I guess you could say that I have never taken my hand off the rudder.
I own a bright yellow Audi TT registraion W11D TT and a Lotus Elise 135 Sport with Special Reserve logos all over it registration S111 NUT.
I don't like people who go on strike to hold the country to ransom. I think nurses should get better pay and firemen should work harder.
(thanks for your interest)
Oh - and I drive too fast.
What kind of cars do you own?

I have four O levels, a certificate in bacon pricing and one in cheese recognition. I'm not a programmer but I did once learn machine code on the Spectrum which I used to write two crappy games. Oh - and I drive too fast.
Not going to happen but still if any staff are near where i live over christmas and new year I'll happily buy you a drink.
