Ahem. We've decided to extend this competition until the end of December to give more people a chance to join up and become popular. Also, if this wasn't made clear in the original post, the winner will only get his/her prize when they become a regular.
Cheers
Ali
UPDATE---UPDATE---UPDATE---UPDATE
The winner will be chosen by the great Snuggly himself, no less.
To compete you have to be a Newbie. The competition can only be won by a genuine newbie joining the forums AFTER today 4 pm on November 21st.
Newbies can enter by proposing themselves on this thread.
They MUST be seconded (on this thread) by at least TWO regulars, staff or notables. Just say "I second [name] for this GAD" or similar.
The more support shown on this thread, the more likely they are to win.
Their overall performance on the forums also counts.
The WINNER will be the BEST NEWBIE as judged by Mr Snuggly on December 13th.
OKAY, go for it (Oh, you're not here yet are you).
Tell yer mates.

Indeed.

It matters less what you do and where you start than the attitude you possess towards life and the universe in general. Those with a good attitude tend to move in an upwardly direction. Personally I find that a wide range of experience is very helpful, but not everybody works the same way and some people prefer jobs with much tighter scope than mine.
Take each of life's crossroads as it comes, and don't chuck MacDonald's rubbish out of the car window. (sounds like a psychic)

Is that the one in the mag, for winacar?

Would have to say thanks to you. Not only has this site given me many free games - some which I may never have bought but also SR have supplied me with all the consoles I have owned since the PSX. :-)
Cars sound very nice. I take it those are the two that you are pictured with somewhere on the site?
At the moment I am just trying to consider where to aim for job wise. Hopefully next year I will graduate with a BSC in computer science and was hoping to somehow get into the gaming industry but sadly programmers get payed poorly in the gaming industry so I may well have to go inot networking or programming just to earn a decent wage or one that reflects what people with similar skills are paid.
I do agree that the likes of nurses do deserve a lot more. I spent a lot of my childhood in and out of hospital and have fond memories of the nurses who helped make it easier. Sadly the way that things go isn't always the way we would hope. With the way things are going not many people in the future will want to train as nurses/firemen etc.
What will we do then?
Ok it is time for bed. A new bed at that - better be comfy.
thanks Tony - you made this what it is and to that we all owe you a lot.
