Well, im getting a GameCube and thats a definite now. But, im still a little unsure on a few things. Like, you see that soundstation for the GC that SR are selling, well, does anyone have one for PS2 or heard one and is it good? Secondly, where does the thing plug into? Mains, GC and the headphone socket on your TV? Well, I don't have a headphone socket. So if its just mains and GC then im fine, but if not then I won't buy it.
Right, the GC connects via a scart lead correct? Well seeing as my telly only has scart sockets then its the scart way I'll have to go instead of the RBG leads. So is the lead bundled with the GC good enough? Or should I get a better scart lead? Because I have seen them and they say that they give better quality.
And while im on the case, whats this uncompressed stuff to do with the GC memory cards? It always states "Uncompressed" so, whats going on there?
Ok, thats it for now, so could anyone kindly give me my answer, and if anyone needs some help about GC then they can post it in here and I'll help you or get my trained monkeys to do it :o)
Much appreciated

plug the white and red leads from the n64's scart lead into the audio IN socket on your stereo , of your OUT socket , but i think it's IN, then turn on the n64 and if it works striahgt away then thats great , butif it doesnt then some where on the stereo , the should be a button with dad-aux , on it , press that and it will work.
hope this helps
about the audio lead , you dont actally need one , as i tried that and it sounds c r a p ! juts separte the red and white wires fromthe yellow video lead on the scart lead , plug the yellow one into the scart lead and into the TV , and the other two into the stereo. Jst separate them like speaker wire , or any other wire that is joined downthe middle. if there is a bit on plastic that holds the 3 wires together just incase they d get pulled apart , just cut away at that careful not to cut through the wires.
Is it worth buying a new telly with RGB sockets? Because my telly only has scart sockets and no RBG ones. So it looks like im using th e scart. But if the picture is like 5 times better then I will consider buying a new telly.
I would rather use my stereo. So the scart lead has 2 audio OUT sockets? So, If I got an audio lead, I could put it from my GC into my stereo and use my stereo as the speakers instead of the crappy tv ones?
But, I only have scart scockets on my telly, so would I be missing out on much?
the s-video cable has the same kind of connectors as the scart lead , so if you plug the circular one into the tv , then plug the other 2 into the speakers , then you will have the same kind of set up. Also , dont plug the speakers in through a scart on the tv , as the sound is rubbish when it comes out of the speakers , if you plug it directly into the speakers from the gamecube , the sound is exactly like the picture ... crystal clear ;-)
on the scart lead , there should be 3 sockets for audio on video. On the back of the speakers there should be a couple of sockets for the white and red cables. Instead of plugging in the white and red cables into the scart lead , separate them from the yellow wire (just pull them apart as the are made to do that) and plug the red and white cables into the back of the speaker.
this way , the sound from the gamecube wont go to the tv, and wont come out of the tv, instead it will go directly to the speakers.
with this bundle , for the speakers , how many do you get ?
because if thers only 2 or 3 , there's not much point. I made my own surround sound , with some old computer speakers , and a stereo , and a load of speaker wire. It sounds ace , and cost hardly anything to make. Next i intend to get some big car speakers , and put them around my bed , or even under the floor boards , that would be cool !!!
if you're gonna use old speakers , there is going to be a bit of soldering involved , and some taking apart. it's not really that hard. If you like , i'll tell you how to do it , or if you dont feel up to it (about 3 or 4 hours work to get t all right.) then i suggest just buying a couple of those speaker sets , or just one , and then get a load of other speakers and plug them into the main speaker bit that you will get with the set.
hope this helped
