Well, im getting a GameCube and thats a definite now. But, im still a little unsure on a few things. Like, you see that soundstation for the GC that SR are selling, well, does anyone have one for PS2 or heard one and is it good? Secondly, where does the thing plug into? Mains, GC and the headphone socket on your TV? Well, I don't have a headphone socket. So if its just mains and GC then im fine, but if not then I won't buy it.
Right, the GC connects via a scart lead correct? Well seeing as my telly only has scart sockets then its the scart way I'll have to go instead of the RBG leads. So is the lead bundled with the GC good enough? Or should I get a better scart lead? Because I have seen them and they say that they give better quality.
And while im on the case, whats this uncompressed stuff to do with the GC memory cards? It always states "Uncompressed" so, whats going on there?
Ok, thats it for now, so could anyone kindly give me my answer, and if anyone needs some help about GC then they can post it in here and I'll help you or get my trained monkeys to do it :o)
Much appreciated

So, scart. ok.
The soundstation looks great doesn't it?!
But, where does it connect to? GC, Mains? And your telly?
If its only GC and mains then im fine. If it needs to connect to my telly then im buggered :o)

Right, so, the RGB scart bundled with

Is this correct? I only need a spare scart socket in the back of

Right. The GC come swith a SCART leade no matter what bundle you buy. There is a SCART socket on your Gamecube and a SCART socket on the back of your TV. Connect the two up and you will get a great picture. To improve the qulaity buy the official GC SCART lead, costs about 15£.
The soundstaion looks absolutly incredible. I want it just for the look of it. I will connect it to the Gamcube and sometimes my stero. Soon a widescreen TV and further speakers and my room will be a home cinema!!
> Has the Gamecube got a digital out?
It has but as far as I know you've got to buy the cable seperately.
Right, so, the RGB scart bundled with the GC is the best quality correct?
So, one end plugs into the GC and one end is scart?

> this is s-video and it's much better
Erm, sorry to disappoint you, but RGB SCART is the best, followed closely by S-Video, then a long way behind is composite.
Think about it, how can a lead with just 5 pins be better than one with 21 pins? Answer is, it can't. BUT, the two are very close.
Im going out soon so I might not reply so dont get worried :o)
I'll ask my mum if she will look out for a telly with those sockets. So its worth paying £50+ for a better telly. Hm, downstairs telly has the sockets, damn house :o)
look around some second hand tv shops , you could get one pretty cheap , or if you've got a load of cash to spend just get a brand new one, or one of those HDTV , then buy a digital cable for the gamecube , and the picture will blow your eye's out of your sockets ;-)
