A cable modem is a broadband modem, in fact there is no broadband modem as its either a cable modem or a ADSL modem. Hes asking advice on how to wire up his connection.

PCworld have one card down as £80 but then you would probably need 2. They dont often work well, as my friend wanted to share his dads ADSL connection so he bought a set of these and they would work from his dads computer downstairs to his computer upstairs, so he ended up getting his phone line converted to ADSL.
