I deceided to end it up by an agreement of swapping CDs and listening to them for a week and well...
I gave him Manics and Radiohead
He gave me Nirvana and Red Hot Chillis
I now like Nirvana and Chillis and he likes Manica and Radiohead...
Strange things happen
In Utero is better than Nevermind :P

Well said, again............

That song rules. So does that album. and so do the band :-D
Nirvana I can't really judge on, because I've only ever

True. It's a really boring song. Just because it influenced a few people doesn't mean that it's not boring. In Utero has much better songs. My mate could still play them all though, with a crappy guitar and about five minutes learning time.
I am a shrubber.
My name is Roger the shrubber.
"No, ni! Niiii!"
"Niooo... ni! Ni!"
"That's right, you've got it! Ni!"

Did he spell his name Thom?
Thom.
Dyslexic fool.
In Utero is vastly, brilliantly, hands-down better than Nevermind. Anyone who has read the lyrics and still believes the conspiracy theories about Cobain should go and have another read:
"Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back"
If you liked that then don't get Nevermind, go for the MTV unplugged acoustic album. It's mostly In Utero songs plus decent covers and it's quite mellow. When it was actually on MTV you had all these Nirvana fans asking why they weren't playing stuff off Bleach and Smells Like Teen Spirit. It's an acoustic set you morons.
Radiohead are a band of unparalleled brilliance in earlier years. Their newer stuff is a bit too Warp Records for me but I still love odd tracks to the point of obsessiveness (Motion Picture Soundtrack, Spinning Plates, Pyramid Song, Knives Out, etc)

and Windows XP is the most stable version yet.
(yes it is. But that only means you don't get the little crashes. The annoying niggles that made all previous Windows so frustrating are gone. Now the upshot of all this is that when it crashes it well and truly burns. I've spent the last hour reinstalling drivers and rolling back settings in a vain effort to get the thing up and running again. Seems to be working now but if Microsoft have their way I'll probably have to wait till SP1 before things return to normal. grrr. I hate Windows.)
Chillis are boring... they're not bad but nothing special.
Californication was an okay album and one of their earlier ones wasn't bad....
Manics rule all :P
Thom Yorke was cool during the Ok Computer tour.
