"Travian"

Anybody on the browser game Travian? It's a free online game and basically you turn a small little oasis into the capital of your kingdom - building resource fields, warehouses, barracks etc. You can even form alliances and rage out war with other players.

I'm already part of one of the alliances (90th in the game) and have a lot of power withing (Head Diplomat), so anybody thinking of joining, start up in the south west region of server 4 on the .co.uk version of the site (click)

Just thought it would be a bit of fun we could all take part in. If you do decide to join, just note down your coordinates and name in this thread.

I'll see how I go for a few days yet anyway, on my resources. After all I'm on a new player immunity for another 4 days.

Am I right in thinking that attacking forces can destroy your resources? As in the actual crops, iron mine etc themselves? And does the game reset after a certain time period; like Midas, if you've ever played that? (Now called jottonia.no I believe)

Don't have an embassy yet, and the resources to build one will take a while, so I'll keep you posted on that.

I only started yesterday evening; not doing too badly though, with the population up to 19 and my resources coming in at 18, 14, 14 (Clay, Wood, Iron).

I seem to have an almost permanent shortage of Clay though =/

Server 1 has apparently reached it's member limit so I was forced to join on Server 4 :(

Looks pretty good so far, as a game I mean. I haven't handled my resources all that well.

I was hoping to build a third village as I've got over 9000 culture points now but I'll never get my residence up to level 20 before the end of the game :(
