Yeah I've been building up my resources big time instead of building up the buildings so I can get lots of resources to start with then build up everything else.
I'm currently at about 400 an hour for wood, clay and iron and 300 for wheat.
I'm currently sending resources from my original village to my new village so I can build it's resources up quickly as well.
I only have a level 1 residence.
Should start upgrading it, I suppose. by the time it gets to level 10 I might be ready to expand.
You must have loads of resources coming in?
I'm half upgrading all my resource fields and half trying to get a decent defense force.
Oh and by the way, I don't know how this applies to other tribes (I'm a Gaul) but if you look at the ratio of defense points to total resources required (not accounting for distribution and food upkeep), the Phalanx, the cheapest unit, comes out marginally better for defense vs infantry and miles ahead for defense vs cavalry.
> What do you need to do to get another village up?
You need to create 3 settlers - achieved by getting a residence level 10 and then creating 3 by clicking on the "train" text in green after you click on your residence.
They're not cheap though costing about 5500 wood, clay and wheat and about 7200 iron each.
Once 3 have been created you choose an empty square and send them on their way to found a new village for you.
You also need 2000 culture points which are achieved by creating buildings and upgrading them.
> How strong would you have to get to form an alliance?
You just need an Embassy level 3, think I'll get mine to a level 3 and form an alliance if anyone else on server 4 fancies joining?
