Alrighty then. I know HTML, Javascript and some PHP. How do I make a site where I can type into a textarea and it updates a spot on a page? Is this asking too much?

I have exactly what you want. I used to keep a diary on my weblog.

As for the angle bracket thing - I hate that. Perl uses it and it really confuses me. Give me fopen() or `cat foo` any day :)

I have absolutly no idea what your asking, but it sounds like you could use a php news script, i'm most likely to be wrong, but it sounds like thats what you could use.

I should say that I haven't actually got a Script for what you wanted... I would have just given it a go for ya'.

I've been looking at the Freeola PHP Manwell and it's actually really interesting. Getting stuff from remote files using the angle bracket tags, and ftp aswell. Really cool. My goal is to have a login area (which I can do), a textarea on the otherside, which updates a diary like area on the page itself. Cheers for doing this guys.
