On 2mb you should be seeing it maxing at about 240k/s.

My BT 2Mb connection cost about £40 tops for set-up fees, because the router and ethernet were all included in the price.
It seems to vary at what speed I download at, however, on Limewire it usually reaches its maximum at about 60kb/s, that's when there are at least about 7-8 hosts though...
