But, games™ stated that nearly all of them are medicore, and only a few a brilliant (GTAVC, Getaway ect)
Pro Xbox.
> Does'nt your xbox play dvd's?!?
No it doesn't because I didn't bother with the playback kit as I have a multi-region DVD player. DVD is a bonus addition to what is a games console.
Please tell me that wasn't an attempt to make out that the X-Box is a DVD player primarily with games coming second because if it is, I might have to REALLY laugh at you. ;-))

Of course its about the games - but that will always be opinon based and in my opinion the X-Box wins there as well. Just because PS2 has the quantity advantage doesn't mean it instantly has the quality advantage too. I mentioned the performance of the consoles because that is something that is etched in stone fact - only a complete mong will try to put their hands on their ears and attempt to say otherwise.
As for how long I've been playing games, I've probably been playing them since before your mother offloaded you screaming into this world mate. ;-)
X-Box is technically better (specs). (fact)
X-Box has X-Box Live. (fact + opinion)
X-Box has some promising upcoming games. (opinion)
X-Box doesnt have a great deal of good games now, (opinion)
PS2 has a wider range of games available. (fact)
PS2 doesnt seem to have many upcoming games that appeal to me. (opinion)
So, in conclusion, it depends what you are after.
Take a look at the games for both consoles. Then get which one you like the most games for.

Didn't think it was about power and performance. Surely *games*, and the quality there of, are the most important thing for any gaming platform?
If you'd have been a gamer in the days of the VIC 20, Speccy and Amstrad, you'd know (and have learnt) that playability has always been, and will always be the most important factor in *any* game - after all, it's what defines it.
Still, experience is something that can only come with time, so I guess I shouldn't lament you for that final point. ;-)
Plus, don't PC's have a keyboard, mouse, office software, etc. The X-Box is for playing games, as far as PC's go, games are more of a bonus than something they are designed for.

As a neutral, I would have to say the Ps2 is your best bet...Although the XBox does have a handful of top titles it is essentially an average PC packed into a black-suitcase...
