Swearing doesn't make anyone popular, it just shows a lack of intelligence to think of any other words to put in place of searing.
(That's not directed at anyone, it's my opinion on swearing)
And it harldly takes a whole truck of braincells to think up a original insult, now does it?
And the filter stops you using words in their proper sense.
You can't say,
1) The knife was covered in blood: it was a bl**dy knife
2) My dog is a bi**h
3) one of my friends is a b**tard child.
for example
I have seen á and ú used to replace certain letters in filtered words recently though (it'll probably take me ages to find them mind) but on rare occasions, but one of my friends was banned for 'beating' the filter system like that, so I can't see why users who do it now don't get the same treatment.
As long as the member has got lots of friends on this board, it is ok for that member to swear and insult others as much as he or she likes.
It's one of those "unwritten" rules that everyone seems to be following these days.
Surely there should be a BBFC rating for the forums now swearing is allowed? Some American websites have ESRB ratings!
